This evening was the staff summer do for the end of term, at The Forester in Ealing. It was in a part I had not yet ventured to so, combined with running late, I got on the bus. Naturally I fell asleep in the 20 minutes it took and overshot and had to catch another bus back, and discover the walk was longer than I thought.
No matter.
I got there, settled down with a Pimms and enjoyed my evening. We had an area of the bar to ourselves, that was admittedly very pretty - above - but was absolutely boiling hot, and with windows that apparently didn't open. Sweltered.
Only 3.5 days left of the job! Eep!
